Join Dr. Gentile for Walk with a Doc: Highland Park on Friday, Oct. 7. Meet at 10 a.m. at the fountain at the Highland Park entrance. This month’s community partner is Harvie Farms, a delivery service that provides locally sourced produce and other farm-fresh items! They will be on hand to give out coupons so that you can try it and see for yourself what a difference local makes!
Flu Shot Clinics
Need a flu shot? You’ve come to the right place! DCPP doctors have planned a series of flu shot clinics this fall across the region to help you and your family. To find one near you, check out the “Events” page on directcarepgh.com and register for a clinic of your choice. You also can schedule an in-office appointment with your doc to get your yearly flu shot.

Recipe of the Month: Dr. Dougherty's Fast and Flavorful Chili
Settle into fall with this easy, healthy and yummy weekday meal.
Ingredients:
- 1 Pepper, chopped
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2-3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 30 oz cans of diced tomatoes
- 2 15 oz cans of black beans
- 1 15 oz can of corn (or frozen works, too)
- 1/2 cup of Whole Foods super grains
- 1 cup vegetable stock
- 1 tbsp of olive oil
- 1-2 tbsp of chili powder
- 1-2 tbsp of cumin
- 2 tsp of salt
- Black pepper to taste
Directions:
- Saute veggies with olive oil in a large pot for 8-10 minutes, until softened.
- Add in the spices.
- Simmer for 30-45 minutes.
Enjoy!
